How it started
It began with a simple question: What if video could talk back? In a world where businesses spend billions creating video content, most of it disappears into the void. Marketing teams guess what works, brands hope their message lands, and creators pray their edits resonate. Hope, guess, pray—those aren’t strategies. They’re gambles.“We realized video isn’t just content anymore—it’s the richest, most underutilized data source in the world. Every frame holds emotion. Every second reveals intent. Every pixel speaks truth.”So we set out to build something audacious: an AI that doesn’t just watch video, it listens to it. One that understands emotion the way humans do and predicts what will work before you ever hit publish. Vidopix was born from a bold belief—the future of business intelligence won’t be queried. It will be watched, listened to, and understood in real time.
Mission
Help teams know if their video will work before they publish. We turn uncertainty into confidence and transform video from guesswork into predictable outcomes.Vision
A world where no video is published blindly, every frame is understood, and businesses don’t guess—they know. We’re building the future where insight comes before impact and emotion is measurable.Values
- Innovation first – we don’t follow trends; we set them.
- Intelligence over data – raw data is noise, we deliver the signal.
- Speed matters – insights arrive in minutes, not weeks.
- Emotion is everything – we decode how people feel, not just what they say.
- Trust is sacred – your videos, insights, and advantage remain protected.
- Global impact – designed from day one for every market we touch.
Milestones
- 2023 · The spark – founded on the radical idea that video is the new data—and it has gone unheard.
- 2024 · The build – AI engine reaches 94% emotion-detection accuracy with frame-by-frame intelligence.
- 2025 · The launch – Vidopix goes live, enterprises adopt, and video listening becomes imperative.
- Beyond · The revolution – video becomes the most valuable source of truth; every brand listens before acting.
1. Prep your environment
- Clone the docs/app repo and install the Mintlify CLI (
npm i -g mint). - Start the mock API in one terminal so the playground has a live target:
- In another terminal run
mint devfrom the repo root to previewhttp://localhost:3000.
Need production data? Switch the playground dropdown tohttps://dev.api.vidopix.comand paste a realaccess_tokenso calls mirror the live stack.
2. Load the API helpers
- Review base URLs and auth conventions in the API overview.
- Cross-check endpoints in the list, create, update/delete, and streaming docs.
- Validate requests in your local UI before wiring new flows.
3. Pick your product track
| Track | Use this when | Deep-dive doc |
|---|---|---|
| Instavidiq | Creators/marketers testing content before publishing. | /instavidiq |
| SurveyCine | Researchers running surveys + respondent videos. | /surveycine |
4. Wire the UX flow
- Routing – confirm paths (
/instavidiq,/instavidiq/:folderId,/SurveyCine/:id, etc.) are registered in your app’s router. - State + services – import the Redux actions/service helpers called out in each product doc (
projectAllActions, folderService, surveycineservices). - Uploads & ingestion – configure drag-and-drop or survey creation modals to call the documented endpoints (
createProjectReq,createFeedbackReq, etc.). - PIXI chat – reuse
AiChatAssistantwith the correctstreamForprop and ensure credit guardrails (fetchRemainingUnitsReq) are surfaced.
5. Validate insights & reports
- Open a processed project or survey response and make sure
ProjectDetail/RespondentInsightsrender the analytics widgets you expect. - Trigger per-project, folder, and HR/customer reports to confirm PDF exports succeed.
- Use PIXI chat to ask multi-project or multi-survey questions and verify threads persist as described in the product docs.
6. Ship with confidence
Before handing off to stakeholders:- Run through the entire flow (organize → ingest → analyze → chat → report) in both products.
- Capture any missing instrumentation or copy by cross-referencing the Instavidiq/SurveyCine guides.
- Update the documentation whenever routes, services, or guardrails change so new teammates always have an accurate “getting started” source of truth.
